Privacy policy

Information we collect

None. Laddoo has no accounts, sign-in, ads, analytics, tracking or in-app purchases, and we run no servers that your games pass through. Nothing you do in Laddoo is sent to us.

How games are played

One phone hosts a room and the others join it directly over the same Wi-Fi network, a phone's hotspot or Bluetooth. Guests without the app join in their browser from a page served by the host's phone, not from the internet. The player names you pick, your avatar, the game's calls, claims and reactions travel only between the phones in the room, encrypted with a key shared through the room's QR code or join link. Reactions are not logged.

Permissions

Camera: used only to scan a room's QR code so you can join. No photos or video are saved.

Microphone: used only if you choose to record your own voice calling the numbers. Recordings are saved privately on your phone and are never uploaded.

Local network and Bluetooth: used only to find and connect to game rooms nearby. Bluetooth room search on Android starts only when you turn it on.

Data stored on your device

Laddoo saves your settings, chosen name and avatar, game presets, voice recordings and the current room, so a game can resume if the app closes. This data stays on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app.

Sharing and links

Laddoo shares something only when you ask it to: a join link or an evening postcard goes through your phone's share sheet to the app you pick. "Share a Laddoo" opens a charity's own website in your browser, adding only a tag that says the visit came from Laddoo. Anything you do on that website is covered by the charity's privacy policy, not ours.

Third parties

We don't share, sell or transfer any data, because we don't receive any. Apple and Google may collect information when you download Laddoo from their stores, under their own privacy policies.

Children

Laddoo is made for families and suitable for all ages. Because it collects no personal information, it collects none from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the effective date above.
